Cali Therapy Dog

Meet The support Team

Cali, Therapy Dog

Cali is one-year-old Maltipoo. She recently graduated from the Puppy Academy in Hermosa Beach, California, and is currently being trained in animal assisted therapy. She loves to play, and is practicing her focus and sustained attention during her school sessions and homework times! Cali is always happy to say hello, and helps others to practice breathing and focus skills.

Integrative Treatment Approach

The Center focuses on providing integrative care. Evidence-based treatment approaches are offered in a relational, accessible, and practical manner. Based upon individual needs and preferences, skills are taught and practiced using movement based activities, such as cooking, arts, guided imagery, and eco activities. Adolescent and adult clients can also work directly on academic or daily living or organizational tasks to enhance motivation and teach the basic self-regulation,  learning, metacognitive, and communication skills that underlie social, emotional, and cognitive health.  Clients develop these skills through guided experiential activities where they have opportunities to self-reflect, learn, and practice new skills with a curious mindset.
